Produced to mark the 20th anniversary of Operation Solomon, the covert mission in which almost 15,000 Ethiopian Jews were airlifted to Israel in 36 hours in 1991, this video (03:19) examines the challenges the community has faced in attempting to integrate into Israeli society, including the transition from rural society, the language barrier, discrimination, high rates of unemployment and poverty, and generation gaps between the young immigrants and their elders. The video also looks at various government programs in place to assist in the successful integration of Israels Ethiopian community.
