This post presents resources for interesting free and private tours exploring the sites, food and nature of Haifa. The featured video introduces the Haifa Street Food Tour, a private tour of the multicultural city through its culinary scene.
1. Free Tours Haifa
Free Tours Haifa is a tourism initiative started by licensed tour guide, Danial Sigalov. The company provides two tours every week – a free tour of the German Colony and Wadi Nisnas Arab market (Mondays at 1:15 PM) and a free tour of the most beautiful sites of Haifa, including the Louis Promenade, the Baha’i Gardens and the German Colony (Wednesdays at 10:30 AM). Although these tours are technically free, participants are expected to tip the guide at the end of the tour, based on their satisfaction and budget.
2. Haifa Tourist Board Tours
The Haifa Tourist Board website provides information about a variety of tours in the city, including 11 different tours for groups that can be organized privately, 9 sites or areas that can be toured independently, a panoramic driving tour and a street food tour of Haifa’s culinary scene. While the website does not make it clear which tours are free and which are for pay, it provides contact information and links for bookings and more information.
