Kibbutz Nir Am
La ciudad de Kibbutz Nir Am fue establecida en el Negev a principios de 1943 por miembros del movimiento juvenil Gordonia proveniente Europa del Este.
En 1946, el kibutz cambió su nombre de Nir Hayim a Nir Am, que simboliza los campos de cultivo de la nación.
El Museo del Agua y la Seguridad en Nir Am proporciona información sobre el proceso de asentamiento, el agua, la agricultura y las batallas libradas en el Negev. Este sitio fue fundamental para fortalecer los asentamientos en el Negev al proporcionar un suministro de agua a los asentamientos judíos en el Negev. Esto permitió el desarrollo de más comunidades en el Negev y convenció a las Naciones Unidas de incluir al Negev en las tierras asignadas al estado judío en el Plan de Partición.
El Fondo Nacional Judío desarrolló un aula de medioambiente al aire libre y estableció un sitio de reconocimiento en honor a los donantes australianos por su amplia contribución al desarrollo del Negev.
