Bar y Bat Mitzvá

En la tradición judía, las ceremonias de Bar y Bat Mitzvah simbolizan la transición de un niño a la edad adulta. Esta llegada a la mayoría de edad marca el momento en que se espera que los jóvenes judíos pasen a ser miembros activos de la comunidad judía y acepten el cumplimiento de las leyes y tradiciones de la Torá.

La División de Educación en el Extranjero del Departamento de Educación del Fondo Nacional Judío dirige un Programa de Bar y Bat Mitzvah único que conecta a los jóvenes judíos de todo el mundo con su identidad judía, la tierra y el pueblo de Israel. Enfatiza el valor del Estado de Israel como hogar para todos los judíos del mundo, independientemente de su nivel de observancia o participación en la vida judía.
